Happy New Year my fellow readers! 2009 was a great year of cooking, and eating so many wonderful foods. I don't make New Year resolutions but goals for the new year. On January 1st, I signed up for 3 races: the OC Half-Marathon in May, World Famous Mud Run 10k in June, and a full bike marathon at Long Beach in October. I'm kicking my training and running into full gear for the new year and I'm excited about it.
Also, we have really settled into our home and have shared lots of good times with our friends and family. This past year, we have hosted many dinners with our fave double date couple, a Superbowl-slider party, family bbqs, a friend's birthday house party, our Aunt's surprise 50th birthday party, my niece and nephew's birthday lunch, 4th annual PALS Turkey potluck,a New Years Party and many wonderful dinners for just Eric & me. At all these occasions, good food was the centerpiece of the parties. I want to take a moment and look back at my best recipes from the year. I hope to continue this yearly "foodly" blog tradition for every new year. I got 5 new cookbooks for Christmas, so I'll be cooking up some new things. Twenty-ten as I'll be pronouncing it seems so "Jetsons" but I'm looking forward to a very glorious and healthy twenty-ten!

Best Pumpkin recipe: Starbucks Spiced Pumpkin Bread You would think that I got tired of pumpkin after so many recipes, but I love this quick bread.
Best Steak recipe: Steak Au Poivre I looooovve this recipe, and the fire show that I get.
Best Turkey recipe: Deep Fried Turkey Alton Brown's Turkey Derrick is very clever and perfect if you deep fry a turkey.
Best Barefoot Contessa Recipe: Company Pot Roast This was such an enjoyable meal, that I recently made it again while my husband's family was in town during the holidays. Everyone loved the richness and wonderful flavors of this dish.
Best Recipe made by my Husband: California Tri-Tip Chili I had to add this one, because Eric did such a great job on his Chili competition at work. He won first place with this recipe, and it's by far my favorite chili recipe.
I also hope to have a new blog layout and new camera for the new year, food blogging makes me happy and content. It's a great place for me to document all the wonderful recipes from my kitchen. Happy New Year everyone!
